Happy New Year

New Year's Eve was spent as we always do, at my mom's house. It's always a very relaxing evening. The kids play with their cousins, the adults play games and watch movies and we eat...and eat...and EAT!! So much yummy food left over from the holidays. We always have such a fun time.

Enjoy the pictures, they tell all...

This isn't after midnight like you might think...this is actually about 5:00 in the evening. It may be a long night for him. Doesn't he just look so comfortable? Love ya bro.!

Ahhhh...kids and water, it doesn't' get any better than this. These three kids (Ella, Max and Mya) were all sticking their hands in the water, then sucking the water off their fingers, then dipping them back in. Hmmm...I think some germs got shared.

One of the favorite things to do on New Year's Eve... someone brings over a gaming system and they sit and play. Two years ago, it was a Wii, this year, Nintendo 64.

Ella walked right over to Travis, and plopped down right on his lap and snuggled right in. So cute! She loves her Uncle Travis

The kids made a train. So cute!

After playing "James Bond" on the Nintendo 64, the boys had to have their own "real" game...so they ran up and down the hall shooting dart guns at each other.

Getting the pans ready to bang! Ella is practicing on her's...

and Ethan is practicing too.

Ok, this is just a funny picture...here's the story. I was taking pictures of the kids, turned around to do something and got the camera knocked out of my hands, right onto the tile floor. Now, in May, the same thing had happened, but if fell right on the opened lens and bent/snapped it off, making it completely unusable. Luckily, we had a warranty that completely replaced the camera for free (whew!) but I was out of a camera for a month or so. So when the camera dropped again, I started to panic. Travis picked it up, said, "uh-oh, it's blurry" turned the camera off, then on again, and snapped this picture of me. The camera was fine, but I think the picture is a classic...yeah for me panicking!

At midnight, we all go outside and bang pots and turn the panic buttons on our cars on and make a good loud noise. Ella is screaming for Daddy to pick her up because it's COLD on her little feet!

Ethan just stood there, then turned around and went back inside and refused to come back out. I don't think he liked the noise.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

St. George Snow

I know that I've posted about St. George snow before...but I'll do it again...mostly because it happened again!

St. George snow is great. It comes and snows leaving a little bit on the ground, then by afternoon it melts and it's done! Well, this year (in Washington anyway) it didn't melt, in fact we still had a lot of snow the next day... and the next day!

Ethan went out and played in it as soon as he saw that it had snowed. Charles got Ethan all bundled up (I was still asleep, Ella was up for about 4 hours during the night battling a flu bug) and let him go out and play. I got up to go out and take some pictures, and came back in as fast as I could. IT WAS COLD!!

I love the beauty of new snow! It makes me appreciate it all the more because it doesn't happen that often.

This is the side our our house. Every time we get heavy rains, it fills up with water. The last couple of years, the management has just let it sit there. A couple of weeks ago though, the landscape people actually came and pumped it all out! But...it rained again, and filled up again...and then it froze!

Ethan playing with a couple of neighbor kids. He had so much fun!

This is right before he came inside. He was so cold!

He came inside and I immediately wrapped him in a blanket to get him warm and gave him some hot chocolate. He was so cute!

Christmas 2010

This year was our year to be at the Frost's for Christmas. We had a great time. The pictures will tell all... enjoy!

We got up to Salt Lake late Thursday evening.

The next day, Christmas Eve, we had the family party! Everyone exchanges their family gifts, and Grandpa and Grandma Frost give out their gifts to the grandkids. This year, Grandma Frost made waterproof blankets for everyone!

Here is Ella and Ethan opening theirs...

And this is what they look like. They roll up tight like a sleeping bag and one side is waterproof material and the inside is fleecy blanket. I loved it! (and so did the kids. The adults blankets are still in production)

Then Ethan and Ella opening another present from Grandma...

Ella got a new doll...which she LOVES...

And Ethan got a package of new cars...which he loves!

The Christmas (eve) clutter!

I kept waiting for Jessica to get her coke all over...darn it, she didn't

getting ready to go caroling and deliver Christmas plates to neighbors (a Frost Tradition)...

Then we went back to Grandma's house and opened Christmas Eve presents...

Yeah! for new pajamas!

Look what Santa left...a new learning laptop for Ethan...

and a lot of art stuff for Ella...(all washable!)

And Mommy and Daddy's presents!

Thanks Santa!

Coming up the stairs Christmas morning to see what Santa brought!

Ella went straight for Toy Story 3...forget the art supplies! BUZZ! WOODY! she said.

Yeah for bubble gum and bananas!

Mommy showing Ethan his computer. It was a hit!

Thanks Santa! Two Backseat organizers for Daddy's car!

Daddy helping Ethan and Ella with Ethan's new computer. He thought it was pretty cool that he got his very own computer!

Ella eating the candy out of her stocking...yummy!

One of Ethan's presents! A fishing pole!

And new shirts!

And one of Ella's favorite presents...a coloring book and crayons!

Mommy's 'big' gift...

Daddy made a star for the Christmas tree!

Ah....I love Christmas clutter!
We had a very fun Christmas. The rest of the day was spent visiting family watching movies and playing with our new presents.

Sunday afternoon...it snowed!!
While we were at church, Ethan started to complain that his stomach hurt, so after he threw up at church, I took him to the house and put him to bed. He threw up one more time, then around 5:30 went to sleep. He slept all night until about 8 the next morning. He woke up a few times and we got him some drinks, but the next morning he was feeling fine. So...

...the next morning, Ethan and Ella went out and played in the snow.

Ethan is getting ready to go down the snowy slide

Ella had a lot of fun just walking in it...

Cute girl...

Cute boy! (the hat is a gift from his bus driver. SO CUTE!)

We came back Monday afternoon. We had a lot of fun seeing Grandma and Grandpa Frost and all of our cousins and aunts and Uncles.
