Gough Reunion 2015

It was my turn this year to plan the Gough Reunion! So, after much deliberation and talking to the siblings I decided to hold it at Bear Lake! I love it up there! So many memories! So much fun, so relaxing and so enjoyable.
We stayed at a camp ground that had full RV hook-ups close to tent sights so we could all bring what we wanted, whether tents or campers and still be all together.
The kids played on this propane tank constantly. It was so much fun for them!
Of course no camping experience would be complete without a campfire. Ethan loved that part.
My family got up there on Thursday and we were able to spend a few hours at the lake. That day was beautiful and warm and wonderful.
The next day, it took a turn for the worst. The kids and some brave adults still made the most of it, but it was cold!
Around lunch time, the wind got stronger and it started to pour rain, so we literally threw everything into the cars/vans and went back to the campsite.
Saturday rained all morning and into the early afternoon. After lunch it stopped raining for a few hours and mom took us on a tour around St. Charles to see all the relatives' homes or land they were raised on. Some homes were still there in their original splendor. That was really cool to see. The last stop was to the cemetery. The St. Charles cemetery is made up of many of mom's ancestors!
Mom printed of fan charts to see how many descendants we could find there...we found around 20!
I think this is where I want to be buried. I'd love to wake up to that view on the morning of the 1st Resurrection!
This is my Great Grandfather and Grandmother
Another Great Great Great Grandfather and Grandmother.
Later that afternoon, the sun came out! We headed to the lake!
These Girls had a blast! The water was too cold for most to swim, but the kids sure had fun playing in the sand!
Sunday came and it was time to pack up and go home. We stayed one more night. Once again, it was really really hard to say good-bye to everyone again!
Alayna loved to crawl around on the grass. I'm so glad this campground was all grass! She found a bubble wand.
It was such a fun reunion. I really really appreciate everyone who made such a huge effort to come! Lots of amazing and fun memories were made and I love all these people so much! Miss you and Love you!
