Arnell Reunion

We had the Arnell Reunion over the 24th of July weekend.  It was divided into two days, Friday and Saturday with fun activities both days.

The first one was swimming at the Kearns Rec Center.  We were there for four hours!
Alayna had so much fun too!  There was a little "Beach" area and she crawled around and splashed and played in the water.

Mom and Dad were there and they brought up Nick, Gavin, Brandon and Trevor!  It was so much fun!

 Two cute little girls!

 Chad scared them!

The super high dive was open for about an hour.  Mom went off, and so did the boys!

Having a snack!

After swimming was the annual 24th of July BBQ at Stuart and Jeannene's house.  It was so yummy and of course, volley ball!

They have a trampoline that entertained the kids for hours!

We got home and lit off a few fireworks then went to bed...

The next morning we drove up to hike Doughnut Falls.
It was a beautiful hike but being a holiday weekend it was extremely busy.  I hiked with mom and the Ethan, Ella and Ariana, and Nick, Gavin, Brandon and Trevor and Max and Elora.  At some point we missed a turn and hiked about a 1/2 hour above the falls.  Charles had to run up and find us.  But, we all made it and Charles hiked to the top of the falls with Ethan, and Elizabeth.

Ya Gavin's a stud.

We all met up at a park after to eat lunch and hang out and rest, then we all drove back to my house for Mom and Dad to pack up, then they went home.  It was a very very fun weekend!

Here are some videos of people going off the high dive...

Grandma Lane's Funeral

Grandma Lane passed away on July 18th.  We got the call from Mom Frost Saturday evening while we were up at Bear Lake.  The funeral was set for the following Thursday.  She had been living with Mom and Dad Frost for 3 1/2 years.  She's always had lung problems, but was also diagnosed with colon cancer this past November (2014).  She remained in fairly good health until about 3 months ago when her health began to decline a little faster.  It's nice to know she's back with her husband and son.

Some memorabilia of Grandma Lane.  I love the old camera (Grandma Lane loved taking pictures!)  And this was her most favorite doll.

Ethan was having a really hard time at the viewing and then at the funeral.  He would just cry and cry.  We explained to him that Grandma Lane was happy, and that we'll see her again and everything, but nothing could comfort him.
At the beginning of the funeral, Ethan and Ella were just sobbing.  I think it suddenly hit Ella.  They both have very soft hearts, and this is the first funeral that they were old enough really understand.

After the funeral...

 Charles cousin and his wife..

 Elbow...Elbow...wrist...wrist...

The Graveside ceremony...

 Charles was a Pall Bearer.

 It was a beautiful casket.

 Last Good-byes...

Charles is explaining to Ethan how the casket will go into the tomb, then into the ground...

 These are some cousins...

The original siblings  Ellen, David, and Renee.  Richard, the oldest, died when he was 17.

The lady in blue dress is Reah, who is Grandma Lane's sister and the last of the 9 children.

At the luncheon...

Alayna was so happy to be down and moving...

It was a very nice funeral and even better to get to see everyone again.
