Happy New Year!

We spent the week of New Year's in St. George.  It was actually supposed to be our year down there for Christmas, but we've decided that it's easier to spend Christmas at home, than having to haul presents down, keep track of them all, and then haul everything back up...so we go down after Christmas and spend New Year's, which is a ton of fun down there with such nice warm temperatures.

We stayed in a time share owned by Charles' parents.  It was nice, yet sad at the same time because I missed staying with my mom.  Anyway...

Our first big adventure was Jumpin' Jacks.  Ethan was so excited when he found out we were going!

Holden Really wants to go on this one...

Ariana refused to get on any of them!  I tried to just put her on a small easy on and she promptly started screaming!  So she followed me around for the 1st half hour...

Elizabeth loved it from the start...

Then...to my utter shock and amazement, she got on one and started climbing...

and sliding!  She was hooked from there and this is the only one she played on!

 Elizabeth just kept bouncing too!

Ethan and Ella were found in the arcade section pretending to play the driving game...

They did plenty of their own jumping though...

She's having a lot of fun!

Our next big adventure was to the new Children's Museum!  It was AMAZING and best of all it was FREE!!!!

This is the first room we came too...the farm room.  You actually milk a cow....

Bubba loved it...

 So did Ethan...

 Ariana is rolling eggs..

 And Ella loved milking too..

 Elizabeth is "Planting" some veggies.

The next room was the car repair/airport...

Mya got right in there and slid under the car...

 Passengers on the air plane...

Ethan and Emma are now pilots...

Now Ariana is a passenger, apparently with a strange child as a seat mate...

Love this girl!

Then Ethan started playing with the car a little...

 Elizabeth loved this hat!

The next room was a show room...a stage and costumes and everything...

 She was really dancing!

Of course Ella got right into it...

 And Ariana loved it too!

Then was a store...
My little shoppers...

I think Ethan is either training, or being trained...

Then, the next room was the fantasy room.  They had a ton of princess costumes.  Ya think Ella's getting into it?

Then was a music room.  Ethan is playing the pipes...

And we spent most of the rest of the time in the science room...this was way cool...

 a mini-tornado...

and you can stand in the middle and try and get a bubble around you...

And then for the New Year's party!

 Nick's great entertainment...

Then Dan and Dad decided it would be fun to shoot off rockets...strapped with fireworks.   That was a lot of fun and a huge adventure...

 Watched movies...

 Did sparklers...

Then set off fireworks for the New Year!

Charles showing the kids how to do their poppers...

 Elizabeth is sooooo tired!

yup she was!

We had a ton of fun and wished we could have stayed...but all good things must come to an end!

Happy New Year everyone!!

Christmas Eve!

The long awaited night has finally arrived!!!  These kids were so excited all day.  Ethan kept asking when the sun was going to go down!

I think Ella took this picture, which is why there's a finger in it...
We had the Frost Family Christmas party on Monday (the day before) and Ella got a doctor kit.  There were a pair of medical scissors in it, but Ella and Ariana decided to play beauty shop with Daddy instead...

Snuggles withe daddy!
 Love this cute girl!

Silly Ella!

So, then we got the kids to bed, and had just settled ourselves down to watch "White Christmas" When a knock came to the door...

And Santa had decided to leave the presents on the doorstep!!

We were pretty happy (and very humbled) by this act of generosity!

So, here is everything set up and ready for Christmas day!

Merry Christmas Eve!

The first "Real" Snow

December 3rd was the first big storm that actually left quite a bit of snow...And the kids were so excited to go play in it!  I can't really complain anymore...it is winter after all...

I found this snow suite for Elizabeth, given to me by a friend and neighbor before we moved.  It was perfect!  She was so toasty warm... (but looked like the little brother off of "A Christmas Story")  I don't think she knew what she was getting into, but she loves any excuse to go outside!

Of course Ethan and Ella LOVED it!!

So did Elizabeth, but she didn't last as long as Ethan and Ella...

And where was Ariana you ask?  She's the smartest of the bunch...she was inside all warm and snuggly and did not want to go outside in the snow!

this was actually taken on the 22nd...we got a few more inches of snow by that time, and the snow was good enough to make a snowman, so daddy went out with them while the little girls were down for naps.  Pretty good snowman!  The arms are that back of an old chair.

First (sort of) snow fall...

We woke up to snow on the 16th or November.  Kind of snow anyway...it was snowing, and there was snow on the ground, but no really enough to play it.  The kids were excited though and wanted to go out in it...so I said what the heck and bundled them up!

It's nice to see that their snow stuff still fits!

We found snow boots that fit Elizabeth and coat way to big, but she was toasty warm!

They had a lot of fun in it, Elizabeth only lasted about 15 min before she was done, but the other kids stayed out for about an hour!

Charles' Birthday!

Charles turned 35 on the 7th...he's half way through his 30's on his way to 40 as I keep reminding him, not that I should talk seeing as how I am not to far behind.  To celebrate, I told him to stop anywhere he wanted to on the way home to get something to eat...He chose Panda Express (excellent choice!)

And since Charles can have only whole wheat and sugar free stuff, it's kind of pointless for me to make a birthday cake for him...so we stuck a candle in his dinner.

Happy Birthday Charles!  Love you so much!
