Alayna's Blessing

On August 3rd we blessed Alayna. It worked out as the perfect weekend because it was the same weekend as the Arnell Reunion and a lot of my family were already up for that. Grandma Frost made the dress and it turned out gorgeous of course! Her blessing was very sweet, which was just perfect for this sweet angel girl.
Sweet baby girl!
We had a lot of people for lunch. Good thing we have a fairly big living space. The kids ate outside and the weather was windy but cool. It started to sprinkle a couple of times but nothing serious.
Fixing her beautiful dress...
Sweet angel girl!
We sure love this sweet girl and am so happy she's a part of our family! She is completely adored by her brother and sisters and they can't get enough of her! Happy blessing day Alayna!

Arnell Reunion 2014

We had the Arnell reunion at the beginning of August. This year we had just an over-nighter at the a Church owned girls camp property up Parley's Canyon. It was so much fun! Complete with a lake, canoes and zip-line. We didn't stay the night, but had a fun Saturday playing, and eating a yummy dinner!
The little kids played in the water, and got rides in the canoes...
Ethan! What a stud!
This is Ella going down the zip line. Charles was hanging out in a canoe getting all these pictures of people on the zip line!
This was Ethan, he let go a little early...
Ella was riding in the canoe with Uncle Jared!
Feats of Daring strength started right before dinner with all the cousins and a few Aunts and Uncles showing off their skill....Ella decided to join in too. This was like the 3rd or 4th time she'd climbed this pole (Everyone else was doing chin-ups from it) and was pretty tired, but she did it one more time for the camera.
After swimming, we had a yummy dinner provided by Corinne and Dennis, then had a get-to-know our Grandpa and Grandma game and then packed up and went home. So much fun! The kids said this was the funnest thing they did all summer!

Science with Daddy!

Charles got the great idea to make a volcano out of baking soda and vinegar for Ethan who loves volcanoes. The experiment worked...but it made a big mess!
Scientists getting ready for the experiment!
I'm glad they did it outside because they made a mess! (and used all my baking soda!)
I didn't get the final explosion because I had to feed Alayna, but according to Charles and the kids it was epic!
And I needed to get these last two in...These are Great Grandma Lane holding Alayna!
Here's a few more random pictures of Alayna...
Here is Alayna at 5 days old with a sweet little gassy smile...
And here's this sweet girl at 1 week old bright eyed and awake!

Alayna's First Bath

Alayna lost her umbilical cord the fastest of all my kids! 10 days! Diaper changing goes so much better when it's gone...and I can finally give her a submerged bath!
None of my kids have liked their first baths...I can never get the temperature right for their first one...thus, they scream the whole time...
Still mad...
And finally warm and clean and calm...
All clean...
I sure love this baby!
