Soccer!!  Ethan loves soccer and has been asking to play it.  The city offered fall soccer so we signed up and Ethan had a blast.  This is was his first time playing soccer and he had some patient coaches and some great team-mates!  They had a pretty good season!  It was a lot of fun to watch him play!

He loved playing Goalie and got really good the last couple of games

He wore his medal for two days after he got it!  He was so excited!

Ogden Temple Open House

We went to the Ogden Temple Open House the first weekend in September, which also was the very last day it was open!  It was a wonderful perfect day and the temple was gorgeous!  One thing I specifically remember was walking through the celestial room and looking back and seeing Charles and all my children and the spirit hit me really strong that this is where I want to to be with my whole family!  There isn't another more perfect place to be!  I hope my children felt it too!

The kids' favorite part about the whole thing?...the water of course!

Charles carried Alayna the whole time, and she, being the sweet angel she is, slept the whole time!

I just waited for one to fall in...

I loved this opportunity to be at the temple with my little family!

First Day of School!

The first day of school came fast this year.  The summer seemed to go by really fast!
Ethan started 3rd grade with Ms. Grant, and Ella started 1st grade with Mrs. Peterson.  I love that they both go to school all day and it's even better that they can ride their bikes to and from school together too!

Ariana had to jump in too!

Going in for the 1st day!  It think it's so funny that their backpacks are almost as big as they are!

And here Ethan goes in for his first day!

And the first day of school is all done!

It's going to be a great year!!

and this is Sadie...She was our dog for a total of 10 hrs.  But having a new born, beginning of the school year, and she was still just a puppy and liked to chew on everything, and pee everywhere...it didn't last.  Just not the right time.  And for those wondering...I cried A LOT!!!  She really was the sweetest puppy ever!

CAMPOUT!

Because of my little Alayna joining our family in the middle of July, camping opportunities just didn't happen this summer.  Still we needed just one campout to call it a good summer (ha ha) and so we had a Back-to-school camp out in our backyard!  We invited Travis' family and Chad and Aubrey.  We set up the tent, and threw sleeping bags in it, Charles got out his Grandpa's telescope and we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows for dinner.  The kids had a blast and didn't go to bed until waaaaay late.  The younger girls slept in their own beds (Cynthia was close enough she went home with her two youngest) and the older kids and Charles slept in the tent.  Travis, Chad and Aubrey slept under the stars.  We had yummy pancake breakfast the next morning and even watched a couple of movies.  The Coyotes even made an appearance! Perfect "Camping Trip".

This is Chad and Aubrey's puppy they just got!  Sadie!

I think this could possibly become a tradition.  It was a lot of fun!

Living Planet Aquarium

We got very lucky this summer and got to go to the Living planet Aquarium for Charles' summer family work party.  We got an excellent and very delicious free lunch as well as an awesome day at the Aquarium.  It was crazy busy, almost to the point of claustrophobic, but the kids had a lot of fun and all the animals they had were amazing!

This is actually in the dining area.  There was a huge aquarium taking up a whole wall.  The kids loved being that close to the fish.  There was a sea turtle that kept swimming by too!  There were also "Nemo" and "Dori" fish too.

Alayna was an angel the whole time!

There was a huge tank and you could actually touch the manta rays as they swam by!

This was the coolest tunnel I've ever seen!  You can walk right under the tank!

Couldn't pass up a photo op!

Riding the whale!  There were different sections for different parts of the world.  My favorite by far was the penguins.  They were so fun to watch!  I also loved the otters but they were really sleepy when we saw them and weren't swimming around.  There was also a tank with an anaconda!  WE were up on an overlook area and saw the thing uncoil and start climbing the side of his tank!  The thing was monstrous!
Still a very fun filled busy day!
