So being 5 days away from my due date traveling was not an option this year.  So...we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Frost's house for a BBQ and fireworks.  We took our pool so the kids could have some cool fun outside and we all just chilled.

When we got there we got some surprising news...the main fuse had blown and so there wasn't any electricity, which also meant there wasn't any AC which pretty much meant I was going to die.

Rocky Mountain Power was playing hard to get, being the 4th of July, but we filled the pool for the kids and let them start swimming.  Instead of actually swimming in it (the water was waaaay to cold) they got cups and had a water fight and dumped water down Grandpa's garage drain.  They had a blast doing it too!

During the swimming fun, and because I was seriously over-heating, the kids started pouring water on my feet.  It felt so good, so I got a camp chair, put it next to the pool and stuck my feet in.  It was heavenly!  I finally started to cool off.  A little while later the Rocky Mountain Power man, with his magic key, came and opened the box.  Grandpa Frost and Charles quickly changed the fuse and the man put the cover back on.  It only took maybe five minutes for the whole thing.  But sweet relief, we had AC again, and therefore dinner got finished cooking and we ate a yummy BBQ with some yummy sides.
I stayed with my feet in the pool though because it was still cooler than the house.

Then came Ethan's favorite part...FIREWORKS!

The 4th of July is Ethan's Christmas!  He loves loves loves fireworks!

The kids had been earning money all summer and wanted to spend some of it on fireworks, so Charles took them to get fireworks and they bought...wait for it...15 boxes of pops!  Ethan had some leftover money for some flashers, but other than that...it was pops all around.  So, here they are, doing their fireworks!

Ella just started gymnastics!  She's been practicing a lot to get better!

Charles and his dad even got a few games of chess in...

After the kids changed, and it started getting dark we went out front and did some fireworks that Charles bought and Becky and Matt had bought and then sat and watched the neighbor's fireworks.

Waiting to light off the fireworks Daddy bought!

Ethan's in his element!

Then, with our ears ringing, we made our way back home.

Very Fun 4th of July!
