4th of July 2015

I remember very vividly how I was feeling for July 4th 2014...I was very pregnant, hot, and tired.  This one was very much better.  We went over to Grandma Frost's house and had a BBQ, and swam a little and just relaxed.  The kids were so excited to start fireworks!

Ella really is excited...she just didn't want to share the chair with Elizabeth...

The flash on my phone was really bright...

FIREWORK!!

Yay for this cute girl!  The the guy's pretty cute too!

They got a bunch of pop-its from Grandma Frost and loved playing with them!

We lit off our own fireworks, and then sat and watched everyone else's.  By about 11:30 we went home.  We were all very tired but also had a lot of fun!

St. George Fun!

Right after Charles got back from Girl's Camp...he didn't even shower or anything...we went down to St. George for Emma's baptism.  We threw his backpack in the back of the car and left right when he got home.  We got down in time for Charles to shower at Mom and Dad's then go to the Pizza Factory for Emma's birthday party.  It was a lot of fun to be with my family again!

Alayna got one of the yellow peppers.  She didn't really like it, but kept putting it in her mouth and tasting it anyway...

We went swimming at Sand Hollow on Saturday.  The kids had so much fun!  They didn't want to leave!

The Baptism was Saturday evening, which was so wonderful, followed by a yummy ice cream bar at the church.  This is the only picture I got of the actual party.  I don't know where my head was!

We went to church with Mom and Dad the next day...Elizabeth never made it to nursery...

Travis was pretty tired too...he's "Internalizing" the lesson.

We came home after Charles got done with some work on Monday.  We had a lot of fun, and loved being down and playing with family!

Girls Camp 2015

Charles had his first Girl's Camp experience this summer!  He was very excited to be able to go up for the whole week.  It was a wonderful experience for him and the girls.  They were able to go up to Heber Valley Girl's Camp this year.  The bishopric and their wives were invited for the last evening.  After many searches I was able to find babysitters for the kids and I drove up for the last night.

Charles got the rest of his "W".

A warrior of light!  A Defender of Truth!

He made this sword...

The whole bishopric!

I didn't get back until about 12:30.

I needed to included these pictures of this cute girl...mostly because there wasn't really anywhere else to put them.

Real Soccer Game!

Jan called and said she could get really good priced tickets to a Real Soccer Game.  After some deliberation I said yes.  Charles had scout camp the next morning so we decided he would stay home with Elizabeth and Alayna so he could work and get to bed early and I would go with the 3 oldest to the soccer game.  Mom and Dad came up too, but stayed at a hotel.  Dad was up for a conference.

They were amazing seats!  Almost mid-field and 3-4 rows from the bottom!

 Silly kids!

This says "Reboot and or Insert".  I looks like there was a problem on the computer end of this sign.

Dad and Mom stayed one more day at our house.  Dad framed another room in our basement all day.  It's so nice having one more room framed!  Thanks so much Dad!

He was pretty hot and tired, so he got into the pool and just laid there shoes and all!

She's a crawler!

Alayna's a lean, mean crawlin' machine!  She's so cute when she crawls!  She has this huffy breath whenever she crawls, like a little motor.  She can get silly too like putting her hands up high while she's crawling along.  When she get's upset that I'm not picking her up she'll collapse her legs and extend her arms straight up like a yoga pose.  It's so funny!

Just some other random pictures...
I put some new batteries in this kitty and for a bout a week it was the popular toy in the house...

Ella wanted to see what her hair looked like so I took a picture of it to show her.  It was kinda cute...

Spring Piano Recital

Ethan and Ella had their piano recital on May 30th.  They did an amazing job!

I did the decorations and refreshments again.  It was a lot of fun!

Silly kids!  I love how they don't get nervous and just walk up and start playing.  They're so cute!

Ethan is actually happy because everyone is clapping for him, he's just being a little shy in this picture.

Memorial Day 2015

It's been a tradition ever since Charles can remember for his family to go to Uptown, UT every year for Memorial day.  Up until about 10 years ago they were able to camp at Flat Rock.  The area is now private property so you can't camp, or even get to the rock but a lot of family still gathers at a church close by and has lunch and visits.  It's been a long time since we were able to go.  Ethan was a baby the last time we were up, so we had some time this year and decided to head up.  Grandma Frost also brought a cake and a present for Ella to celebrate her birthday.

She was very excited to get another cake!

 Now for a present!

It was a "Frozen" Spot It game.  They were able to play a couple of rounds before we headed out.

We showed the kids Flat Rock (as far as we could go anyway because there's a gate now), and then went to the cemetery where Charles' Grandpa Frost is buried.  We wandered the cemetery for a while.  Lots of pioneer history in that cemetery.  We really felt the spirits of those who sacrificed there.
