Ethan's Preschool Graduation

Ethan's Preschool days are over! He has grown so much this past year! Putting him in Preschool, especially this preschool was the BEST decision I ever made for him. He has absolutely blossomed! At the beginning of the school year he was in the lowest class. Through some awesome teachers, by the end of November he had completely skipped a level and was put in the regular pre-k class. He has just loved going to preschool and I will miss those awesome teachers he has there.

Yeah for Riverside Preschool!

Here are some pictures of his graduation presentation...

He was so excited to see us when we walked in!

This was one of the "silly songs" they performed. A-tutta-tatta!

Getting his cute little diploma!

Cheese! So excited!

I think his favorite part was the cookies and punch! I kept losing track of him, and I have no idea what the final count was, but I know he had a lot!

This is Karen-Jane. She was his first preschool teacher and worked wonders with him!

And with Miss Tamarie. She was so cute! It was so nice to get to meet her ;) (her first baby is due next week)

And Miss Anna. She's from Brazil and has the coolest accent! Ethan was always talking about Miss Tamarie and Miss Anna!

Daddy and Ethan! Cheese! What handsome guys!

Ethan asked to hold Ariana.

And one of the best parts about this whole preschool thing...the bus came to the house to pick him up! He loved going on the bus!

And with his bus driver (I never did get her name) and the aide, Shanelle. I will really miss having those two drive him to school. It gave me a lot of comfort seeing Ethan buckled in a car seat. I don't know what's going to happen when he rides the regular bus to school next year. I'll probably get on with him, make sure he sits down, and tell him to STAY! ;)

Ethan turned 5, and I needed to get Ariana's pictures taken in her beautiful blessing dress before she out grew it, so I killed 3 birds with one stone and got all three kids' pictures taken too!

Enjoy!

2005 Toyota Sienna!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I did not want mini-van. I was too young and hip and cool to own a mini-van. If I needed a bigger car, it would be an SUV or a crossover. Well, after Ariana was born, and the issue of our small car became a claustrophobic problem, we started talking about what we wanted to get. Both Charles and I agreed on an SUV... then gas prices started going up and the decision to get a mini-van was made for us. Well, I've seen the light and I am absolutely in LOVE with my new mini-van!
So...announcing the newest member of our family...

R.J. (short, for Rachel's Joy)

Welcome!
We've been searching for you for a VERY long time!

Quick history for history's sake...
Found it on KSL cars, liked the year, Loved the price, had my brother Travis test drive it for me, becuase it was in Draper, he liked it, took it home for Cynthia's OK, she loved it, I called on Monday to make an offer, they accepted the offer, they mailed down the paperwork, we mailed up a check and the signed paper work, my brother Dallas drove it down on Thursday and ...Voila! new van!

all right...don't I look good as a mini-van mom?

I'm not so excited or anything!

Some Stinkin' Cute Kids!

My Three Bedlamites!

These pictures don't really have anything to do with each other, but they're all under the theme "Stinkin' Cute Kids" so here ya go!

I couldn't decide which of these was cuter, so I just put them both up. Ethan is such an awesome big brother! There have been times that I'll ask Ethan to hold Ariana while I get some stuff finished up and he'll talk sweetly to her, and hold so carefully! And he loves to hold her too! It's so fun to see them together!

Ariana found her thumb!! She kicked herself out of her swaddle, but put herself back to sleep with her thumb! This is a big deal becuase she refuses to take a pacifier! (however, after I took the picture, she woke up and saw me standing there and wanted to eat...so...anyway...)

Jumpin' Jacks!

A couple of weeks ago, Ethan finally got the ultimate prize on his "Good Boy Chart" and went to Jumpin' Jacks. Going there is like Christmas morning for him, so its a great incentive to help him be good. We spent a couple of hours there. The kids were completely worn out and so was Charles for that matter. I had a fun time watching, and they made me tired just watching them!

Ella is such a monkey! She climbed just as high and fast as Ethan!

Ethan just coming off a slide

Charles and Ethan racing to the top

WEEEEE!

Ella loved this driving game. She didn't actually play it, but she had fun with the wheel!

Ariana and I just chllin'

You come down those slide really fast! The kids were in heaven!

Bunny Ears!

Just a side note, a couple of days ago, our neighbor got out their little bounce house. Ethan kept telling me he wanted to go to their Jumpin' Jacks! So he now associates any bounce house/blow up slide with Jumpin' Jacks!

Easter 2011

This is going to be a VERY long post...just warning you...

Easter weekend was filled with a lot of activities and a lot of FUN!! The pictures will tell all...so enjoy!

Monday...
My neighbor invited us to go to the Tonequint Park Easter Egg Hunt with her and her family. So, we went and I will never go again! (totally Crazy!) But, the kids got their Easter Eggs, had a good time hunting them, then we went home...

here They are, waiting for the hunt to begin...

It's amazing how water and rocks can occupy kids for HOURS... and so it did...until the hunt began...

They had the park divided into different age groups...here is Ella about to begin her age group hunt...

and there she goes...she was a pro!

She had a lot of fun hunting down those eggs!

and Ethan...Got bored waiting for his age category to start, so he was out throwing rocks in the water when the buzzer rang and missed his age group completely...so...

We went to the next age up and he did really well...

He got eggs, so he's happy.

and here they both are with their finds!

Snow Canyon State Park

On Friday, the first day of Easter Break, my sister-in-law suggested we go to Snow Canyon and spend the day hiking and picnicking! I was so in and we had a ton of fun!

Ariana was such a trooper!

This is where we had our picnic. The kids would eat, then go hike this hill, then come back and eat...back and forth over and over.

Ethan is the orange spot at the top. This was not a small hill and he climbed to the top over and over...

Dustin is the big one in the white shirt and green shorts. He's helping all the kids come back down.

Then we went to the Sand Dunes. Hike was HORRIBLE!! but the kids had fun playing in the sand when we finally got there.

Jaci, Mya and Emma

A bunch of the kids, along with some of their friends who were there burying...someone...

Derek and his cute cheeeeeese!

Ariana got really tired of the glare of the sun, so we put her under a make-shift canopy that Derek was using for his nap and she was much happier...

I buried these three girls, but Ella broke out just before I took the picture.

Ethan had a lot of fun at someone else's hole...

We went back later that night and BBQ'd some really awesome steaks. It was a lot of fun!

Saturday: Swimming and Dyeing..

Saturday was spent catching up on life. We cleaned the house, cleaned out the cars, organized, shopped and finally got to go swimming.

Ella loved swimming!

Ethan, of course loved it!

My two little bedlamites!

And now dying eggs...

We did this at the end of the day, after baths and then put them straight to bed (the kids not the eggs)

Ethan was surprised to see the eggs go in white and come out colored.

Ella had a lot of fun too!

Easter Sunday

Ella loves to do Kylie's hair!

Jared is making faces at Ariana, and she's loving it!

Ariana is intently watching Jared

Silly Crazy Ethan...He loves going to Grandma's house!

Derek and his cheeeeeser.

Lining up for the Easter egg hunt! We had some pretty crazy weather, but it broke just long enough to hide the eggs, and the kids to find them...

And off they go! They get better at it every year

I haven't figured out why he's carrying a plastic cup. But he's sure loving finding the eggs

Ella found a cracked hard boiled egg

I don't know what they want from Jared, but it sure looks funny. (Please suh, more?)

Ariana is enjoying the hunt from the warmth of two blankets and Grandma's arms

Arrrrrggg...

There was one egg left so we played hot and cold for it. Gavin found it. The kids walked in a group like ducklings. So Cute!

All the grandkids and their finds!
As we were finishing up outside, the heavens opened at it started to pour! So we had the big boy hunt inside. We made them go into mom and dad's room to wait. Look how antsy they are to get going...

Lining up in the hall, oldest to youngest...sort of. Charles should be in front of Dustin and Jason...and he really is having fun...

On your mark...get set... (move Derek out of the way)

GO! The fight down the hall...

And their off!

Hunting hunting hunting!

Charles with his finds!

Dad got a wound! He was pushed against the light switch as they were coming down the hall!

Picture tells all...

Kind of freaky actually...

Then, one person started throwing eggs, and everyone else joined in. We had an Easter egg war for about 10 min!

Ethan got a few good throws in too!

We are grateful for this season! For the reason we celebrate it, for the Atonement, crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Because he fulfilled his role as our Savior, we have the ability to return to live with Him again, and be with our Families forever!
Happy Easter everyone!
